Jubilate Handbell Choir

May 14, 2019

7:00 PM

Calvary Baptist Church

Derby, Kansas

The name Jubilate refers to an outburst of joy and triumph as in Psalm 100: "Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth!" This 11-member English handbell choir from Appalachian Bible College is traveling to churches and schools in Illinois, Kansas, and Colorado in May 2019.

The theme of the program is Made to Serve, built around Hebrews 11:8: “By faith when [Abraham] was called to go out… he obeyed… not knowing where he was going.”

Besides five octaves of handbells, the Jubilate program incorporates additional instruments, drama and testimonies, and a brief challenge from Dr. Anderson at the closing. The concert is engaging and inspiring for all ages. Admission is free.
